Controlled Social Networks?
The past 12 months has seen a seismic shift in industry attitudes to hyper-syndication and super-distribution. The walled-garden is crumbling and social networks continue to gain audience-share. Production studios, broadcasters and individual creators have, for the most part, accepted the inevitable. But, what are the benefits? What is the end-game. Pay-to-play is passee - but what model replaces it to keep the value-chain intact? Where does social networking fit in Hollywood?

Programming-Led Ad Networks
The proliferation of ad platforms and ad networks would suggest that we have, indeed, reached a mature transparent and standards-based video advertising economy. That said, we know the truth - reporting and standards are fragmented and lack any cohesion. This panel will address "new" modes on old models; experiments with demographically focused context-based channels.

Mobile: What Consumers Want (presented by Mobile Entertainment Forum)
MEF presents the latest exclusive data from US and global markets on what entertainment consumers are increasingly interested in getting on their mobile phones. Session will answer some questions: Is mobile video growing and do consumers enjoy the small screen experience? Are people paying for full-track songs? Is their consumer interest in free ad-supported music? What segments and global regions have best growth prospects in spite of the economic turmoil? The findings are from KPMG’s third annual Global Consumers & Convergence survey of more than 4,000 people in 19 countries worldwide. MEF and KPMG are producing a series of collaborative reports on the trends in mobile entertainment. More findings on this study and the MEF Business Confidence Index will be presented April 1st at CTIA.
