Kat co-founded Exopolis with partner Daniel Arcana in 2001, and brings 20 years of marketing, sales, management and business development experience to her role as Partner and Chief Marketing Officer. Under her direction, the company has grown from a two- person operation to a staff of 30 brand strategists, designers, animators, producers, editors, web programmers and trend researchers that handle projects ranging from feature film and consumer websites to network packages and show opens.

Prior to launching Exopolis, Egan worked as a marketing consultant for several West Coast entertainment companies, and before that, spent six years as a marketing executive at Warner Bros. Records and as VP of Marketing at David Byrnes' Luaka Bop Records. Her career highlights also include a stint as a Concert Manager / Producer at Radio City Music Hall, and a top post at Central Park SummerStage as VP of Marketing & Corporate Sponsorship. She has also served as Direector of Special Events and Business Development for the San Francisco Asian Art Museum.
